Summary

The 3rd ASEAN Tourist Guide Symposium was held in Kaya House Homestay, Bali, Indonesia with the participation from Philippine Federation of Professional Tour Guide Associations Inc. (TGFED).  Through this 6 days 5 nights program, participants were been exposed to various of Balinese cultures and traditions to enlighten their knowledge of the local cultures. There are few places have been visited such as the Prafen Gallery that is well known for Silver and Gold Jewelry at Celuk village, Luwak Coffee at Bali Agro tourism and Holy Bubbling water Temple “ Tirta Empul” at Tampaksiring Village.

Objective (s)

 Facilitating experience exchange and enhancement of the local tourist guide’s skill sets in better promoting Bali’s cultures and heritage.

Conclusion

SEATGA believe the tourist guides play a vital roles to upgrade the quality of tourism throughout the region . Hence, towards to achieve that mission, tourist guides need to prepare themselves in terms of their skills and knowledge in order to support the whole tourism industry.
